On November 26th, Taiping Hsinguang Elementary School welcomed its 87th Parent-Child LEGO Day, attracting 350 enthusiastic participants. This event was not just a fun family time, but also an educational and social learning experience disguised as play. In just two hours, a simple block-building competition sparked unlimited creativity and team spirit among the participants.
During the event, every five families shared a large box of LEGO bricks. Children and parents worked together, stacking colorful blocks into various creative works. Through this process, participants unknowingly learned important social skills such as choice-making, understanding, cooperation, and order. Hand in hand, adults and children created together amidst laughter, not only building beautiful works but also strengthening family bonds.
This event received support from multiple parties. Special thanks go to the Lin Jiaxing Volunteer Group for their assistance, and to Lisa Lee, the founding president of the International Lions Club 300 C1 District Celebrity Lions Club, for her support. The honorary founding president of Yashun also graced the event with her presence, adding to its prestige.
LEGO is not just a toy, but also a valuable teaching tool. Through such parent-child activities, we see the infinite educational value contained in simple blocks. They not only cultivate children's spatial thinking and creativity but also enhance family ties, leaving participants with beautiful memories. We look forward to the next Parent-Child LEGO Day, continuing to build dreams with blocks and unite families with love.
